MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He is a major player in his part of the Latin mainstream. The 2016 smash Una Lady Como Tu was winner of the Colombian Kids Choice Award for the most popular Song in 2017. In Medellin, the Sony label La Industria Inc. released ADN his debut long player. It reached the top 8 spot within the Top Latin Albums Chart. The following year he was a part of Ozuna to record the Top Five smash Vaina Loca. In 2020, he collaborated with Noriel on Mala Influencia and released the album Dopamina that year. In 2021, he appeared as a duo with TINI on her most streamed track Maldita Foto. The hit single La Bachata from 2000 was published in 2023. Turizo was raised within a musical family, since both his mom and younger brother are musicians. In interviews, he described his participation in music as compulsory. When he was young, he instructed to play guitar, the piano as well as the ukulele. The initial goal was to be a vet, but his brother Julian persuaded him to learn how to sing under an instructor from a Cuban instructor. It was the result that he found his ability to sing and also changed the course his life.
