Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is the daughter of British lawyers Jacqueline Luesby (born in Paris) as well as Chris Watson (born in Paris). The couple was moved to Oxfordshire in the year she turned five years old and attended at the Dragon School. Emma's goal was to be an actor. At the age of six, she joined the Oxford Stagecoach Theatre Arts branch, where she took classes for acting, singing as well as dancing. Emma's first cinematic appearance was with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in the year 2001. It was the year's top earning film, smashing records during the opening day and the very first weekend. The film was praised by experts, and also by the performance of three young stars. The Daily Telegraph praised Emma for her excellent performance. Emma received the Young Artist Award as the most outstanding young actor in a Feature Film. She was later nominated five times for her role in the movie.
